With incredible clarity and a golden hue in the glass, it shows off a perfumed nose of fresh apricot jam, blooming summer jasmine and toasted honeycomb. The palate is refined, bright and round with defined notes of Meyer lemon, pear and a superb minerality on the long finish. It is a lifting, elegant Chardonnay that shows off the promise of this grape in the Willamette Valley. Due to the smoke in 2020, we applied winemaking techniques that adapted to the given circumstances, including immediate, gentle press cycles that preserved the integrity of the skin without imparting any of the taint to the wines.
